Project Research Dossier — Solidus Network (SLDS), pre-TGE
Research date: 28 September 2026
TL;DR: Solidus is a pre-TGE identity-focused Layer 1 with public Rust code and a live testnet. The build evidence is inspectable, but the investment case is not ready: there is no independent audit, external adoption evidence is thin, and the published supply policy contradicts itself. Verdict: monitor, not underwrite.
-
What it builds A purpose-built chain for DIDs, verifiable credentials, identity-bound staking and reusable KYC. The live v1 testnet uses HotStuff-style BFT and exposes DID/credential operations over JSON-RPC. The v2 execution model remains non-public and unaudited.
-
Tokenomics Planned TGE supply: 1B SLDS. Allocation: 40% community, 20% team/advisors, 20% investors, 20% operations. Team: 1y cliff + 3y linear. Advisors/private/seed: 6m cliff + 2y linear. Public sale: 5%, with 25% at TGE and 75% over six months.
Current FDV is not calculable because there is no live market price or circulating mainnet supply. The site’s illustrative $1/SLDS fee assumption is not a sale price.
-
Unlock / dilution risk Expected sequence: public-sale float at TGE; partially undefined program/event allocations; investor/advisor cliffs from month 6; team unlocks from month 12. The official token page says both “fixed supply / no further minting” and “3% annual inflation.” Final contracts must resolve this.
-
Signals and risks Positive: public protocol/SDKs, DID spec, live testnet and named founders. Risks: no independent audit; supply inconsistency; execution/decentralization; adoption concentration; identity/KYC privacy and regulatory exposure.
Disclosure: no SLDS holdings or compensation. Not investment advice. Full PDF attached. Please challenge one claim or risk; I will answer with primary-source evidence.
