Project Research Dossier - Atheron (ATON)
- Project Overview Atheron is a proposed Layer-1 blockchain designed around a dual-use GPU thesis: the same GPU hardware used to secure the network can also perform AI inference and compute jobs. Its architecture combines GhostDAG consensus, two mining lanes (BLAKE3 ASIC mining and tensor-memory-hard GPU mining), an EVM-compatible execution environment, native WebAssembly execution, and a Compute Mesh for AI and oracle workloads.
- Tokenomics ATON has a fixed maximum supply of 15,000,000,000 tokens. The project states that there is no public token sale and that there has been no private round. 80% of the maximum supply — 12 billion ATON — is issued through mining.
- Unlock & Dilution Risk The largest allocation is mining emissions, representing 80% of total supply. Even though emissions decline over time, newly mined ATON can increase the circulating supply for many years.
- Technical / Code Verification The project's technical documentation is detailed, but much of the system remains at the specification or development stage.
- Key Risks Execution risk: The project is pre-testnet. Testnet, developer tooling, ecosystem infrastructure and the final protocol implementation remain milestones rather than established production capabilities. Conclusion Atheron currently presents a pre-testnet Layer-1 design with a fixed 15B ATON supply and no disclosed public or private token sale. Its strongest evidence is the detailed published tokenomics and technical specification. Its main verification gaps are the absence of a live testnet, incomplete public implementation/specification, zero completed independent audits, and limited independently verifiable information about the core team and corporate status. https://www.aton-network.org/whitepapers/technical https://www.aton-network.org/network/tokenomics https://www.aton-network.org/developers https://aton-network.org/security https://aton-network.org/legal/terms
