Pocket Dragons before the mint: what is live and what can be checked
Written for the quest “Research What a Project Actually Does” with The Cabinet on The Republic.
The question
Has pocket dragons built a working product before its sale, and what can people check about the money and contracts before the sale opens?
About the project
Pocket dragons is an NFT project on ethereum. It is run by pocket dragons FZE LLC, a company registered in the sharjah publishing city free zone in the UAE. The mint is planned for november 2026 but there is no date yet. The team says it is self funded and has never done a public raise. When I wrote this on november 6, 2026, no presale, auction or token sale was open.
What is live now
The website and the keeper ledger have been live since early september 2026. I checked the leaderboard on september 11, 2026. https://pocketdragons.io https://pocketdragons.io/leaderboard
The ledger ranks members by badges. You earn badges from quests, a daily mini game called ember chamber and community activity. On october 15, 2026 the co founder posted an update that added a constellation view and a creator kit with artwork for fans. https://x.com/TradingJoker/status/2110747766313947352
All of this is off chain. The badges are kept in the team's own database and some are given out by hand.
What is still a plan
The official article from october 30, 2026 gives the plan. There will be 6,000 NFTs. About 2,000 go in a presale at 0.029 ETH and the rest go in a public auction. The team and treasury get zero. Sales money is split 30 percent to the company, 30 percent to NFT inventory, 20 percent to a rewards pool and 20 percent to a vault. The article does not say what the vault is for. https://x.com/Pocket_Dragons_/status/2116194714701668860
There is no contract address, no audit and no treasury wallet yet, so none of this can be checked on chain. No token has been announced.
The company and team
The best proof I found is the company registration. On november 6, 2026 I took the tax number from the imprint page on pocketdragons.io and checked it on the UAE tax authority website. It matched the company name. https://eservices.tax.gov.ae
This shows the company is real. It is not a crypto licence. The imprint names samuel joseph withers as the company representative. The team says there are four of them.
Usage numbers
The team shared these numbers in their AMAs. About 30,000 badges have been given out and over 2,200 people have played the mini game. Nobody outside the team has checked these numbers.
Risks
The contracts are not out yet, so nobody can test them or the mint. The roadmap is long for a small team paying for everything themselves. The team decides who gets badges, and badges decide who gets presale spots. The team says the terms can still change. If you buy in the presale and the auction ends at a lower price, you do not get a refund.
What I could not check
The usage numbers, the team's past work and the security claims all come from the team. I think the named company representative is the founder on x, but I cannot prove it. I did not test every feature from the october 15 update. This is based on what was public on november 6, 2026 and things may change before the mint.
Disclosures
I am not the builder of pocket dragons and I have not been paid or sponsored by the project. I built pdtools.xyz, a free community tool that is not official. I have also helped the team by writing some discord bot replies for free. I hold 15 ledger badges, including a golden badge the team gave me. I may get presale spots and I plan to mint. https://pdtools.xyz
My co author shiv_222 is not the builder and has not been paid or sponsored either. He runs the youtube channel pocket dragon keeper. He holds 12 ledger badges, may get presale spots and plans to mint.
Conclusion
The company is real and the early product works. The contracts, who controls the money and the final sale terms are not public yet, so they cannot be checked. This is not advice to buy or sell.
