Arc — The Network Is Live. The Token Case Is Still Incomplete.

Arc is easy to explain as a blockchain. It is harder to explain as a token investment. That gap is where I started this review.

Arc is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 built by Circle for payments and onchain financial activity. Transaction fees are paid in USDC rather than a separate gas token, and Circle describes deterministic sub-second finality.

The identity check is straightforward. Circle publicly identifies itself as Arc's builder, and the arc-node repository is published under Circle's GitHub organization. Arc mainnet launched on 16 September 2026 with more than 100 institutional and ecosystem builders.

The token question needs more care.

Circle announced the genesis mint of 10 billion ARC in September 2026. ARC is described as a future mechanism for network security, utility and governance as Arc explores a transition toward Proof of Stake in 2027.

But Circle also states that the genesis mint is not a commitment to publicly launch ARC. A minted supply is not the same thing as circulating supply.

The official material establishes the 10 billion initial supply and ARC's intended role, but that is not enough for a supported valuation. A market price and circulating supply are still needed, while allocations, public-sale terms and detailed unlocks
